- עֶשֶׂרf., עֲשָׂרָה m. (b. h.) ten. Ab. V, 1, v. מַאֲמָר. Ex. R. s. 15, a. fr. עשר מכות (not עשרה) the ten Egyptian plagues. Ib. ע׳ אנשים ten men; a. v. fr.In compounds עָשָׂר, עֶשְׂרֵה, as אַחַד ע׳ eleven, שְׁנֵים ע׳ twelve R. Hash. I, 1 בחמשה ע׳ בו on the fifteenth day of it (the month of Shebat).
